Kayla Nelson, RN and owner of True North Home Care in Nebraska, shares her experience with Approved Senior Network's home care sales training with Annette Ziegler.
Kayla had nearly five years of home care experience and strong industry knowledge, but she had never received formal sales training. As an owner, operator, nurse, and marketer, she had to be intentional about where she spent her time.
Before the training, she admits there were referral sources she avoided because she felt intimidated or wasn't seeing results.
That changed quickly.
After learning how to identify the right referral partners, approach facilities with greater confidence, follow up more effectively, and use professionally designed branded leave-behinds, Kayla started seeing real momentum.

In 2025, she completed approximately ONE Lunch & Learn.
Since beginning ASN's training in 2026, she has already completed FOUR, with another four or five scheduled before the end of the year.
Kayla says:
