A Journey of Growth and Dedication

In 2009ish, Dawn Sohn joined Approved Senior Network® as its very first employee. This marked the start of a journey filled with growth, challenges, and achievements. Known as employee #1, Dawn has been a key part of our company through all its ups and downs. She’s committed to staying with us for the long haul, showing incredible dedication and loyalty.

The Heart of Our Operations

Dawn has an amazing ability to keep track of everything that happens in our company. She’s the go-to person for support, helping new clients get started, and much more. Her knowledge and skills are unmatched, making her a vital member of our team. Dawn’s also the person who brings fun and laughter to our gatherings, making our team stronger and more united.

Personal and Professional Growth

When Dawn started with us, her son Aiden was almost three, and my triplets were just a year and a half old. Now, Aiden is 18 and about to graduate from high school. Dawn lives in Troy, MO, with Aiden and her fur kid, Josie. Her journey with us mirrors her personal growth and the milestones in her life.

Approved Senior Network started as a small publishing company in 2008, called LTC Expert Publications, LLC. Valerie VanBooven RN, BSN founded the company after years of working in many different roles from ICU Nurse to Discharge Planner, Home Care, Care Management and more. She wrote her first book in 2003, called “Aging Answers”. After that came “The Senior Solution” in 2009. Valerie and her staff grew as more home care agencies and senior service businesses realized the undeniable value of being found online.
